why do so many mexicans want to move to the US?

Well the original colonists left Europe for a lot of reasons. Some for religious freedom, others for money, and still others for adventure. People still want to come to America not just from Mexico but from all over the world because, despite it's many flaws, it is a great country. It's a country where you can find work, raise a family, be safe and free, and if you come in legally then you can have a hand and a say in what your government does. It's a great country and hopefully it always will be. = )

better jobs are here, and its a much safer country. Countries like mexico are very, very, very run down, jobs are much harder, and the government isn't as helpful. Our government is much more helpful and if your smart, you can have a much better life here.

there is a higher standard of living in America than mexico. also, it's easier to find employment here and wages are higher than other countries

ECONOMIC incentive.

The early English settlers came to get wealthy, since land and timber were here for the taking (more or less) while in England almost all of the land was in the hands of the aristocracy.

The waves of Irish and Italians came to escape famine and grinding poverty.

That still holds true for the Mexican and other ILLEGAL immigrants,
but it is not an excuse we should accept for their BREAKING our laws.

Particularly when their ECONOMIC incentive comes at OUR EXPENSE.

Because the USA is the best place on earth to live bar none.People who bad mouth America are just uninformed idiots.It is a well known FACT that the average American living in poverty still enjoys a higher standard of living than the average family in Europe(that's right ,average family not average poverty family).As for Mexico their gov't is so corrupt and their infrastructure is so lacking that the prospects of living in America and raising their quality of living is a temptation that's hard to resist for anyone willing to work to make a better life for themselves and their families.Hope this helps,I could list pages of reasons but this is a brief summary.

Mexico has a porous economy and their are plenty of low-skilled, low wage jobs here that employers are desperately seeking to fill. Also, the U.S. doesn't have a security crisis like Mexico does. Mexico is overrun by drug cartels that make life miserable for many Mexicans.

Because the US has so many job opportunities that citizens would want to take, so Mexicans want to grab those opportunities, as Mexico has too many people for the number of jobs.

A big reason is because the US's morale is freedom, which is why a lot of people come here for that.
a lot of other people in other countries have stricter laws, harsher discipline, and not a lot of freedom, especially so for women.
so it's not just people from mexico, it's people from all over seeking safety for families, good paying jobs, and freedom obviously.

But them coming to the US isn't always their own choice you know. sometimes their forced to move because of conditions.
