3rd party fire and theft can I change it to fully Comprehensive after???

Lets say for example I insured a car 3rd party fire and theft and after 1 month/2 months etc decided I want fully comprehensive, will my insurance company change it????????????? or do I have to cancel and get insurance again but this time comprehensive instead?

You can change any time you want but they will charge you for it. Just to explain why, the additional cover you are getting is basically "own damage" which means with 3rd party fire & theft, you are covered for any damage you do to a 3rd partys car, you are also covered if your own car goes on fire or is stolen. By upgrading to comprenhensive, you are also insured against the damage to your own car if you crash it. Ring your broker/insurance company about it and get a price to change from now to next renewal date - its usually not that expensive! Good luck

Yes you will have to pay the additional premium. If they try and charge you an administration fee, Say that is unacceptable since they are getting more money anyway.
PS. I have never paid an administration fee as if you moan and kick off and tell them its there fault they will do it anyway as they don't want to lose your custom.

You can upgrade you policy to fully comp but some companies charge an admin fee for this.

You can change coverage at any time and as many times you will just have to pay for the upgraded insurance.

If you've damaged your car and that's why you want to upgrade then I wouldn't recommend it. Any such claim would be fraud and could get you in big trouble.

Blessed Unforgiven
Use a reputable company or they will diddle you out of your money and play fast and lose with you.

Yes, but they will charge you for uprating it

Knownow't
You can change in any time you want....they will just charge you extra for it.

ANDY
YES
LET THEM KNOW WHEN FROM AND THEY WILL BILL YOU FOR THE DIFFERENCE AND MAYBE AN ADMIN CHARGE. THIS MEANS YOU WILL NOT LOOSE ANY NO CLAIMS AND THEY WILL SEND YOU A NEW CERTIFICATE AND SCHEDULE
