am looking to ither 6 points or more i have only been driving for 16 months i think you are only allowed to get 6 points and your banned in the first 2 years but am not sure if you can drive on 6 or you get banned for getting six if you know what i mean, ie 6 points you can dirve 7 points your carnt can any one help cheers

basically if you get 6 or more points within 2 years of having a full license plus any you recieve whilst on your provisonal you will get your license taken off you, have to reapply for a provisonal, go back to driving under provisonal license conditions (l plates, correctly accompanied by someone whos held license for 3+years and is 21+years old) and not allowed on motorways, then simply retake both the theory and practical again which won't be a big deal different from the original tests. It dosen't mean you'll get banned from driving like you would if you reached 12 points or for a much more serious offence like drink driving etc. |

I am afraid you will be bumped back down to a provisional and have to start all over again.
Too late for you but a lesson to all new drivers of any age to be very careful and to drive within the law or do not get caught!!!! |

Under the New Drivers Act your driving licence will be revoked if you build up six or more penalty points within two years of passing your first driving test. You’ll need to reapply for your driving licence as a learner driver and resit your driving test. |

im not 100% sure, but i think its as soon as you hit the 6 mark, your banned from driving, have to apply again for your provisional, re-take theory and practical tests.
like i say im not totally sure, all i remember is when i got my first 3 points, id only been driving 1 month, when i was at the court paying the fine, the guy told me 'dont make any more mistakes or you'll lose your licence' |

I am delighted to say that your licence will be revoked as you have clocked up 6 points in the first 2 years of driving, and you will have to retake all parts of the Driving Test.
You're not very clever are you? Did you really think that the law didn't apply to you?

sorry but you will be banned then depending on why you got your points (i.e whether it was speeding jumping lights ect) you may have to take your tests again and then when you have your insurance will go through the roof . . . |
