Points will remain on your licence for the statutory period regardless of whether it's a full or provisional licence.

If you obtain a full driving licence you could lose it again even if you're not disqualified as such, depending on how many points you get and what they're for, if you have only had your licence for a short time.

You may well end up having to take a further driving test.
