the best option is get a man with a van, they just pick them up and crush them and will give you £30 for doing it, they usually dont bother with a log book, failing that the council must remove it and if they are slow tell them it is a health hazard and local kids are playing around it |

Tell the police, it may have been stolen then dumped and they'll be able to find out if anyone's looking for it. |

Depends where you live i know someone who sells scrap cars and would just tow it away, however its not yours so best get in touch with your local council they will come along slap a sticker on it to the effect it has been abandoned probably wait 28 days for a response if no responds they should dispose of it. |

if the vehicle is on private land, there isn't anybody you can call - what my father did when somebody abandoned a car in their drive, was to move it out onto the public road then called the police.
Nowadays, you would have to call your local council (if you are in the uk), once the vehicle is on a public road.
Any non-taxed vehicles left on public roads are the responsibility of the local council to get rid of.
Good luck. |

I had one outside my house in England a couple of years back. About three of my neighbours (and me) complained to the council and they eventually came and towed it away.
You have to pay for cars to be scrapped so people just dump them anywhere they can(a bit like sofas and fridges!), and of course if a car is parked carefully in a residential street it takes a while for householders to realise that it doesn't belong to anybody living there! The lack of a tax disc usually gives it away!!
It's amazing how crafty these selfish people have become when it comes to getting rid of unwanted belongings. |

Any towing Company will tow at no charge to you, you can even call your local police dept for asst, also if it appears to be a half way decent car contact your DMV and fill out the required paper work for an abandonment title and it will be yours free and clean |

Is the car on private or public property? If public, start with the local police, if private, contact the county or district attorney and see what your rights are. The police should be able to trace ownership by the VIN #. Abandon vehicle laws vary by state. |

Call you local police. If you live outside the city limits call your Sheriff dept. or equivalent depending on where you live. They will check and make arrangements for towing to an impound yard. |

You could contact the police. They will probably want to pass the buck but make sure they give you the name and number of the persons who are supposed to handle it.
Or, you could also call the Department of Motor Vehicles for your state and report the license plate. Maybe it was stolen or used in a crime, you never know. You may end up helping someone solve a mystery. |

DO NOT take the advice of some - keeping the car could be a problem ESPECIALLY if the car was stolen or used in a crime. You wouldnt want to end up being fingered as part of a theft ring or God forbid, a murder investigation.
Call the Cops and have them investigated. I hate to sound melodramatic, but now days you never really know the full story behind these things. Play it safe and call the cops.
Just ask the cops if the vehicle is not reported stolen and seems to simply be abandoned - if you can keep the car. If they give you the green light - take it and sell it. |

If it's on public right of way, contact the local police department. If it's on private property you own or control, call a towing service. |
|

The_Man
 |
Call a tow truck company to haul it away. And let the owner of the car deal with the impound fees. |
|

Eric F
|
call your local police dept. and tell them there's been a car on the street for the past year and its now becoming an eyesore. they will have it towed away. |

 |
best thing to do is to call the police....but don't call 911, rather call your local town's non-emergency phone number. Another thing is that you can try to research on whether you can potentially try to sue the owner of the car for the trouble you had with his/her car's interferrence. |
