The OWNER gets the money. If written off, the insurance company will be compensated. If money is still owed by the keeper of the car, he will still be lible to pay it. If car is being repaired, then the workshop doing the work will be payed by the insurer. The keeper gets no money directly.

The owner gets the money, surely the car will be in his name not the hire purchaser
