After being involved in a car accident how much compensation would i get at the most?

Who did you plan to get compensation from? If it was hit and run, and the person that caused the damage didn't give you any information and left, how did you plan to collect?

As to what you would get, it you did have their information, your medical expenses paid.

If you aren't yet 13, shall I assume you are using your parent's account with permission to be here?

In the UK claims for compensation in a hit and run acident are dealt with by the Motorist Insurance Bureau - a big pot that all reputable insurance companies put into for hit and run accidents.

You'd have to prove, through your legal representation that you have recieved actual injury, or emotional impairment. It would have to be documented, photographs, doctors details and the like.

I broke my arm through a hit and run the early 90's and had to have it pinned and screwed by operation, I receieved Â£7,000 due to having to have 2 operations and a significant time off work.

I gather payments have decreased in later years due to the culture of 'where there's a blame there's a claim' in the UK.

get real kid.... you said it was a hit and run... which in any country means the driver split.

Unless you know who that is, how are you going to collect anything?

If you DO know who did it, then the matter goes back to the cost and extent of your injuries.

a) What it cost to 'repair' you. (From your description it may be limited to simple doctor visits)
b) What other expenses were involved (Mom or Dad taking off work to take you the hospital / md. etc.
c) Any pain and suffering compensation. I'm not reading crutches, casts, and a bucket full of pain-killers in your description - is anyone else?

BUT.. bottom line here. Your PARENTS will have to be the ones that present a claim against the person who ran over your foot. See what THEY think you might be owed (vs. what it would cost to sue the driver to collect - if you know who it is)?

Since it was a hit and run, unless the police catch the person you get nothing.

Insurance covers medical bills and the ever popular "pain and suffering". The amount would be different based on the severity on the injuries, and any income that was lost because you couldn't go to work. At your age, since you don't have a job, any compensation would be lower than for a working person.

You mean the bus was hijacked (took over) by the driver of the car. In his haste to overpower the bus driver he forgot to put his handbrake on and the car rolled onto your foot?

Well put it this way - I got knocked off a motorcycle, compound fracture of tibia and fibia, 3 operations involving an 18 inch long pin inserting in my shin, kneecap removed to do this, and knee is now permanantly shot, further op to remove the pin again, 18 very painful months off work and lost my job due to 3 cancelled operations to remove the pin .
I got Â£14500, so i'm afraid you will get next to nothing for a bruise, even if you could find the driver.

Some people think that you get a bruise and sue for millions, fraid thats just not true in good old blighty.

You should not be asking this question. You are not of legal age to be negotiating the settlement. However, I normally settle minor's claims by sending them an ipod.

This is quite a complicated issue . you haven't said if you have contacted the police or more importantly had medical attention. You need to speak to both if you have done so . After that you and your legal guardian may wish to speak to a solicitor regarding any possible injury claim. As for the amount of any possible settlement this will be individual to your case and to generalise here would be wrong

You must document your injuries ASAP! Get to the doctor who will document them in writing for your insurance company.

Don't deal directly with your insurance company until you speak to an attorney. If they think there's enough money in it, it's best to let them represent you. They'll take 30 or 40 percent, but it will be worth it. He or she will fight like a dog for you, because their income depends on it, too.

Unfortunately, they will be dealing with your insurance company since it was a hit and run. This happened to me, and it actually worked out just fine. Just don't take their first offer.

if you mean money I would ask for atleast 10 thousand. They put you in danger of being killed and your a minor and say you have bad neck pain or such because youll get more.
