Alabama Motorcycle Question

I bought a motorcycle 8 days ago from a friend that needed money. I have someone interested in buying it to just get my money back. The title was signed over to me. Do I have to register the motorcycle in my name before I sell or can I sign the title in the next Buyer / Seller section and sell it?
