Any car insurance that doesn't matter who drives?

Any one know what car insurance you can get that no matter who drives your vehicle the car is insured?

In the US the coverage follows the vehicle so someone can drive your car with your permission and be covered - so in answer to your question - any company would do that - HOWEVER - all licensed operators in your household must be listed on your policy (unless they have their own insurance, then the company will want their information but will not charge for them - but if they have bad records, they may decline to write your insurance even if they are not drivers on the policy). The company will also want to know about someone that has regular use of the vehicle such as a nonresident partner.

I've bookmarked this site to go back to...

All the best to you.

autoinsurance.hotusa.org - try this one. I have their car insurance and, as I know, they can provide such a service.

Yes, typically if you have insurance, anyone you loan your car to is insured.

But if your insurance folks look at the statistics of your household, and they see you have a 16-18 year old kid, they will ask you to "sign an exclusion", so your kid won't be insured unless you pay the extra, which might double your insurance or worse if they get tickets.... if your kids get tickets, go ahead and "sign the exclusion" and stop loaning your car to your kids if they are not responsible drivers.

Or if you are some irresponsible kid trying to figure out how to fool an insurance company, don't bother, you are guilty until proven innocent until you reach 25.

Usually, car insurance is on the vehicle itself, not the driver. So no matter who drives, the car insurance stays with the vehicle. That's why you get the little card to keep in your glovebox with all your insurance info.
But nonetheless, car insurance co's like to know who's going to be driving your vehicle, just as matter of formality. Husband/wife or also a teenager, because then the more people driving, they might charge you more depending upon who and age of driver.
Imagine if a frat house had a single car that the whole frat used. That'd be a nightmare for the insurance co. to maintain responsibility for, because it'd be too easy for one of guys to loan the car to friend.

So if it's just you who normally drives the car, and a few times, you loan it to a friend, it's usually no problem. They just like to know who the regular drivers are. They understand that a vehicle might be driven by someone else at odd times.

You can get a policy for yourself and any driver. My godmother has this coverage because she has "home health care" and the nurses often drive her car to run errands. We also drive her car to the store and pharmacy for her.

Unless you specifically exclude someone, In the USA, they are all like that. Anyone with a valid license and permission can drive an insured car and will be covered.

Not exactly.

Most policies, require you to list all household members and regular drivers, but will also cover a non-household member, or occasional driver. Each company defines occasional differently, but it's usually less than once a month.

If you have a high rated driver, and you're trying to get them a car to drive, without paying for it, well, that doesn't work.

For automobile insurance the most efficient way to get a very good rate is do a policy comparison on auto policies. Make certain that you compare similar options with the same limits, car make, location, etc so that all options are a good comparison.

What I usually recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have top name insurers and will give several quotes on car insurance polices.
