Anyone got any tips for passing the hazard perception part of the driving theory test?

Yes. Get the latest version of the dvd and practice, practice, practice.

Practice lots would be the answer. Click once and then aqain to ensure that the computor has recognised your answer. Do not click randomly at things as the computor can mark you down for that.

Buy the dvd- but do not get to complacent , as the more us use the dvd the better your score will become. Also make sure you have a good nights sleep before hand so that you are awake and alert for the test.

Well i think it helps a tiny bit to know what to expect so I practiced on a dvd,but when it came to it I actually only passed by 1 point on the hazard perception! Just concentrate and try not to click too early or late and don't click too many times!!

Practise with the Hazard Perception CD-ROM. Also remember that the way to score the highest points on this test is to click as soon as possible after you spot a potential hazard - don't even wait longer than a second to click on it! The more time you lose, the more points you lose.

Watch out for hazards such as pedestrians, cyclists, other cars - especially at junctions, crossings etc. Click as soon as you see one. Click again every time the situation changes - eg. something moves, puts on an indicator, stops, turns etc. I took the test a couple of weeks ago and passed comfortably.

Learn it. Pretend for the time that you are driving a tiny, explodes into a ball of flame with you inside should you get even touched type of CAR (rather than driving a TANK)
REMEMBER this is NOT a video game, you will get hurt, physically and financially.

Practise practise practise.
You can get practise cd-roms for your computer that simulate the videos pretty well.
And dont do it when you are tired. I did my theory and HP tests after a 2 hour inner city lesson and I was knackered. I got 35/35 on the questions but only 45//75 (i think, I passed by one point) on the HP.
Fresh and alert is key.

i got a friend of mine to download the cds which shows u different senariose about open road situations. e-bay would probably be your best bet.

It tells you not to click the mouse too much when you take the test. I took this too literally the first time and failed (top marks on everything else aswell! :( ) The next time I was quite liberal with the mouse and passed! (still full marks I'll have you know!)

Get a DVD from your instructor and keep practising.
