i was I guess. I was young though.. So i don't even remember it. I don't think I went to the hospital. Maybe just some bruises. I'm now 22. And my money from this accident, had been held by the courts till i was 18, and I haven't gone to get it. Cause I didn;t know it what there. How much do you think I'm getting? I can't call till tomorrow morning. I'm just wondering if anyone else had this same thing happen, how much did they get? I'm thinking no more then 400.

my guess if there was some kind of settlement, it went to your parents as legal guadian.
ask you parents about this.
If there was some kind of settlement to be held till your age of 18 or 21, you should be receiving a monthly payment, and may not know where you are?
but since you dont remember or dont have any permanent injuries per your question, i doubt any settlement to be much of anything.
again, ask your parents of the details.
18 years ago, your parents could have received a lot of money and there were no safeguards to prevent them from spending the settlement. today, they have to set up special accounts to prevent this.
but say that they paid 1k; your bills were 700, so they had 300 more than your bills? would you hold your parents responsible for the 300 more???
they are your parents, ask them. most likely, they may have received nothing. |
