Hi, I live in Oklahoma state and I bought liability insurance only. However, I'm going to drive to Canada next month and probably going to stay there for a month. Is there anything that I need to do with my car insurance?

No, I live in Canada and often drive to the United States. Given that the two countries are similar and have similar insurance laws as well as companies, eg: allstate, if u get into an accident in Canada, your insurance company will handle it just as they would in the U.S. For more info, phone and ask your company.

Call your insurance company and have them send you a non-resident Canada insurance ID card. Most car insurance policies issued in the US are valid in the US and Canada. It says in my insurance contract that my car's insurance is valid in all 50 states and Canada. |

You need to let your agent know so that they can issue you a canada ID card that you will need before you can drive over the border. |
