I got some insurance from a well know company how long will it last in nj meaning will it be for the whole 6months to a year

Your policy was only good to get your plates! It will not pay for anything and isnt worth the paper it is written on if your license is suspended. Except to possibly cover it if it is stolen. But you are not insured to drive it period.
