Auto liability insurance, no health insurance, shall I pay medical bill up front, then reimbursed later?

I was hit from behind while i was waiting at red traffic light. the other driver admitted it's his fault. He has State Farm. I do not have health insurance and State Farm told me that I have to pay all medical bills and get reimbursed. i have lower back pain. I do not have money for all the treatment. What shall I do?
Additional Details
Since the medical bill can easily reach thousands, can I give my liability auto insurance to hospital to cover the bill first?

that is the way is normally done but if you get an atty than they submit all the bills to the ins co once you are done treating and you dong have to pay upfront but hell get 30% or more of any settlement they offer you.

This is standard procedure with ALL insurers. State Farm is not going to give you a blank check to pay for treatments until you are DONE treating -- it's not their fault that you have no health insurance or money to pay for medical costs. Be thankful that the other driver had State Farm -- at least you know they have the money to help you.
