California Drivers License?

I just got a new license (I lost my old one). I JUST got my year (4-8-09)
but on my new driver's license, it says "Provisional Until Age 18" and "RSTR: 59" However, the back of the license fails to explain what that means.

I am so confused. So by needing a replacement license, did that set me back? Or did the DMV just mess up?

It means you are a minor, and are issued a Provisional License that has restriction on you driving. You cannot drive between the over night hours of 11:00 pm to 5:00 am., or transport any passengers under 20 years old unless a licensed adult over 25 or a parent is with you. The restrictions are all listed it the Driver Handbook.

possibly due to new laws, find out what the restriction means. I doubt that DMV messed up.

Ask DMV. Most States do that because of drinking laws.If you're over 21 it might be a mistake.What do you mean you just got your year 4-8-09 What are you confused about just call or go to DMV
