The same way "ya gotta be in it to win it" (but really "If you choose it, you're committed to lose it").
If you just ask for a lower price, they can legally cut your coverage to do it. That's like getting a $3 steak or a mattress with a low coil count. They can then advertise these deals as "savings" from switching. Always make sure someone compares apples to apples, and that they run the MVR (driving record) before finalizing the quote.
P.S. slipknot's comment about multi-car discounts and safety feature discounts are standard at many companies. |

No. Those commercials are a lie. My dad has Geico, and when you need to speak to them it takes a really long time to get someone on the phone to help you. Generally once they're on the phone, they are unhelpful, rude, and you don't save a penny! In fact, once my dad finally got ahold of someone on the phone, he told them that it's not "so easy a caveman can do it", and the guy got kinda pissed off because he's heard that many times. The commercials are a hoax, even though that cute Gecko is so darn likable. That being said our insurance is pretty reasonable anyway (compared to some other drivers at least) so I guess there's no complaints here. |

with some people it probably could especially if its really high to start with like someone who has a few DUI,s or something,but i took the challenge thing and let it do mine,and it was 500 bucks more than i was paying now,but it can help some people especially if you been turned down by other companies,good luck hope this helps. |
