Can I drive my moms's (insured) car without me being on the policy.?

I do not have any insurance either.

only way is to be added to her insurance, one must have insurance to drive a car or they are illegal. car will be impounded and the person will lose license for at least one year.

If you are old enough to drive then you should be old enough to stop asking daft questions. Obviously if you have no insurance and are not named on your Mothers insurance then you are NOT INSURED AT ALL!!!.

Therefore, please don't drive it, I might be on the road and in your way.

Yes you can drive it, you will just being doing so illegally and if you get stopped by the Police you could get upto a year in Prison. I would advise against it.

You could, yes....BUT if you get into an accident that is deemed your fault, your mother's insurance company will NOT cover you because you are not a covered operator of said vehicle's insurance policy. In other words, her insurance company will not repair or replace any vehicle involved with that accident, nor repair any other property damage involved as long as it was your fault, and if you were behind the wheel of her car at the time.

There's nothing to stop you driving it, but there's nothing to stop you going to jail either! DON'T.

no you must be insured

Sure, nothing to stop you. But, if you live at home, and want to be covered in the event of an accident with you driving, you need to be added. If you are over 18 and have your own address, you still need to be added if you drive it frequently.

no you cannot - if you have an accident you will be liable for any cost

no you need to be a named driver or have your own policy

welcome news
Not on a road (and the definition of 'road' is NOT straightforward)

You would only be able to drive legally if you are added onto her insurance policy as an additional driver (some companies allow this to be done for short periods) or if you had an insurance policy in your own name that permitted you to drive other cars (and yousay you don't)

No! That would be living very dangerously! Can you say $500 ticket? And your Mom's insurance going up. I think not.:)
