I am 18 years old. and just had to cancel my own insurence.

You need to check with your Mom's insurance company it depends on the policy. Some won't allow anyone under a certain age One insurance I had said no one under 30 and unmarried, and then some will charge more per month if someone younger or living in the house is going to be driving.

If you are not insured on her policy, you should not drive her car. If her policy covers any driver, then you might be okay. The best thing is to check with her policy and see what is and is not covered. She might be able to add you to her insurance as a temporary driver.

Probably. Most policies allow you to let someone drive your car with permission.

It's the car that is covered, not the person.

Unless you take it without the permission. Then the Insurance Company can deny any claim.
