But as I was on holiday between the 18th to 26th, I am only taking my car for her new MOT tomorrow, Tuesday 28th.
I am allowed to drive my car today and drive tomorrow to the MOT test?
This is probably a silly question but I though I ask

You are only allowed to drive the car to a pre-booked MOT test.
So you can only drive it to the MOT centre tomorrow.

As far as the law stands, as I know it, you are only allowed to drive the car on the day to the pre booked test. If you get stopped you will have to prove it as well. |

No way - on holiday is no excuse.
You can drive to the MOT test by the most direct route and back home or to repairer. Always by the direct route and all MOTs and repairs must be pre booked. |

No you cannot drive this car. With the out of date MOT cert your insurance could be invalid as the car might not be safe. Once the MOT is passed then your insurance would be OK. Not worth a risk as a bad accident would leave you uninsured and maybe a claim for injury etc. |

You will find that no MOT will invalidate insurance if you have a bump or not. Very bad form in my opinion, and if a police car with ANPR pulls you, well, you will have to find out what the fine is but you will not be allowed to drive it any further, car will probably be impounded and you will have to pay to get it back.
As pointed out, driving to a pre booked appointment is OK. |

You may drive legally to have the MOT appointment . Today is illegal but just hope you don't get pulled for anything .. A sensible person would have sorted the MOT before the holiday . |
