Well when I was little I had cancer in my left eye and got it taken out. Do you think their is any chance that I could go to the DMV and get a handicap parking sticker for my truck? I could just say that I cant see the left side and I could get hit by a truck walking through the parking lot or something?

Only if your eyes are on the bottom of your feet.
Tell the DMV that you can't see the left side, they will yank your license and they should. Legally, most states will allow a person with one eye to drive. Give them evidence to the effect that's stupid, they'll take you up on it.
Handicapped plates are for people with impaired mobility, not everyone with a handicap or impairment who wants one.
Having been legally disabled for nearly 10 years, I don't ask for and don't get a handicapped plate or sticker. It will eventually happen because that's the way it goes. It isn't limited to people in wheelchairs.
Every person who claims a disability without good reason -- or uses a handicapper plate without reason, e.g. borrowing it -- is screwing up a system by making sure it doesn't work right. |

Do you feel handicapped? I think if you can see to drive - you could see to walk from a regular parking space to the store or resturant. |

Handicapped parking permits are meant for people with mobility issues, not vision issues. If you go in and say that you have problems with seeing what's going on around you they'll suspend your license immediately -- why would it be more dangerous for you to walk through the parking lot than to drive there in the first place? |

Sorry for your misfortune of cancer in your eye, but it could be declared that you are partially legally blind... if that is the case they could take your license. People who are legally blind cannot operate a vehicle for obvious reasons. |

I also had cancer. I'm sure as hell not using it to get preffered treatment I 'm thank full to still be alive and you should be too. |
