The thing is that my company is willing to pay for a rental car. But I don't have a driver's license. Can I get the rental car on my name, but have a friend drive me?

You may rent the car with no problems. Your friend will have to provide a valid license to the rental company before it can be taken. Any major rental company would not question this at all. |

No, rental companies will only rent to those who have a valid driver's license, therefore the rental agreement would have to be on your friend's name, not yours. |

Nope....have the car rented in your friend's name. No rental car company will allow an unlicensed driver to rent their vehicles.
You need to be up front with your company. Tell them you don't have a license and you want your friend to drive. Let them tell you if they will allow this.

No Sorry. I have been in this situation before.I am living in Canada.If you are in the States they could have different rules and regulations.I was told I needed to have a Visa or master card as well as a valid drivers license.Good Luck! |

nope, the person renting the car must have a DL. The company takes a copy of your license when you pick up the keys. They'll tell you that the car will have to be in your friends name since he's driving. |
