From what I've seen people who get DUI's don't really get punished until they kill someone.
If you are talking about becoming a professional truck driver, I would venture to say you will have to check on the standards that the trucking industry adheres to. I know that truckers that get into accidents (even accidents that aren't their fault) can loose their jobs. I would imagine that a DUI record would probably not be a good resume builder.
You should probably check into a career field that does not involve vehicles or heavy machinery. And I hope that you've finally come to terms with the idea that drinking is probably not good for your future. No more booze. It would be really nice to know that you figured this out before you killed yourself or some innocent person or family. |

I hope not. Get off the road and stay off. |

Here's hoping there is someone somewhere with sense enough to not give someone with 2 DUI's a CDL license. That's scary. |

That's a Stupid Question

You shouldn't be driving at all after a secon DUI.
You should be walking or taking the bus.
In some countries, you would be executed after the first offense. |

would you hire yourself?
get real |

I wouldn't hire you. Too risky and too expensive to insure you. |

I would go ahead and start looking for another profession. No one will ever hire you as a driver, and for good reason. |

You probably blew your chance to be a commercial driver after the first one. NO, you can't. |

Maybe for some under the table, drug smuggling trucking company. Not any legitimate ones. |

A second? Man, how did you even pass your test?
Thats just stupid.
Get some common sense. |

That will probably depend on the policies your employer has. I would be up-front with them from the beginning, though, because they do annual and semi-annual checks on your driving record (at least most companies do)... and I would definitely recommend to quit drinking and driving before you kill or hurt yourself or someone else. |

You will never drive a commercial vehicle again....thank god |

You need to quit drinking and driving in the same time. Drink but stop driving. Drive but stop drinking. It is time for both. Good luck! |
