yes you can but you'll pay through the other end because your under 25 - it's all about your wallet - and exactly what company you choose. it's also about insurance companies policies as a whole no matter where you go it'll be high for that exact reason !!! [ age } |

Yes you can be added to the insurance as part of the policy, but the rate might go up depending on your driving record, and your age and depending on where you live.
If its supercharged get ready to spend some extra money. |

Someone will insure you. With the premium you will have to pay they will be able to retire on the proceeds.

Anything's insurable - for the right price. It'll really depends on how much cash your father's prepared to throw at letting you drive his beloved pride and joy!
Personally, I'd buy you a car of your own, insure it, employ a driver to drive you home after a night of the lash & also find a pretty young filly to sit alongside you looking gorgeous - and it'd STILL be cheaper for him than insuring you on his car!!

Everything is possible for a price but the mainstream insurers limit their risks by only insuring certain types of drivers for certain types of car so
20year old + 1 litre Fiat Punto is fine
40 year old with no convictions or accidents + Range Rover is fine.
If it was the same 40 year old in a Ferrari it wouldn't be as expensive as you might think but Direct Line probably wouldn't touch it because they wouldn't insure enough Ferrari's to spread the risk.
Likewise they won't have enough 20 year olds driving Range Rover Sports to be able to offer cover.
What you need is a specialist insurer - try ringing some insurance brokers who will be able to search a wide range of companies and expect to pay considerably more than a 'normal' policy with a big excess.
If all else fails Lloyds of London will insure virtually anything!
