(a) You must be insured
(b) It is also an offence to drive a vehicle without a current tax disc.
Provided that you have made a prior appointment with an MOT testing station,and can prove this,it is unlikely that you would be charged.
Obviously the car would have to be MOT'd before you could apply for a vehicle license and if you were stopped it is possible that some time limit would be imposed on you to produce the disc and MOT certificate.
Either make sure the car is top condition or be prepared to shell out money to get it repaired and passed otherwise the Police could get nasty and charge you with driving an un-roadworthy vehicle on top of anything else |

Well how else would you get an MOT without driving it there. You can't buy tax without an MOT so if your tax is up you need to MOT it first. |

it has to have tax and insurance by law,but can be driven to the MOT station without an MOT as long as an appointment has been made for that vehicle,but if it is not roadworthy,and your pulled up by the police on the way,they can still charge you. |
