Can a lender repossess my car without a right to cure?

My car insurance lapsed for about a week. When I found out about it I purchased insurance. The next week, my lender repossed my car and the finance company didn't send me a right to cure. Is this legal?

Right to cure has to do with you making payments to the lender. It has absolutely zero to do with your insurance.

And as part of your loan/lease is apparently the requirement of having insurance, then yes, they can repossess the minute your insurance lapses.

Totally legal. Good job on lapsing on insurance.
