A FRIEND I WORK WITH BOUGHT THE CAR AND NEVER TITLED IT IN HIS NAME. NEITHER DID THE PEOPLE THEY BOUGHT IT FROM. DON'T KNOW WHAT TO DO? ANY HELP WOULD BE GREAT.

Call your local Secretary of State and tell them your problem. They will tell you what you need to do. |

You'll have to contact your state DMV office and ask for instructions. Obviously, the car could be stolen or not belong to the seller. So you can expect to go through a lot of steps to get a new title. |

At this point will be very difficult to know who is listed as the registered owner and/or get them to sign anything to get a duplicate title. Your friend best choice will be to get a BONDED TITLE (very difficult and expensive) call your local bonded agency, they will ask for bill of sale and all sort of documents to have the vehicle title; they based their prices according with the vehicle price and somehow bond the vehicle. What I don't understand how someone do not title, what about plates and registrations? |
