This is all part of the silly runaround that insurance companies send you on, your new insurers are likely to know exactly how much your no claims entitlement is (most insurers use a central database) yet they still make you chase around for proof. |

Contact the broker who issued the policy on behalf of the insurer. Better get looking for some paperwork relating to it or you'll be kissing your no claims bonus goodbye. |

You must have had a renewal notice from your last insurers or at least from your broker. If it was one of the online companies and you paid by direct debit then their name will be on your bank statements.
If you don't know who your insurer was, who would you have called if you needed to make a claim? |

The DVLA should be able to supply those details, as all cars now have to have insurance, MoT and tax details logged with them. Tell your new insurers to consult them. |

It will be on your insurance renewal form from your old insurance, I had the same. |

You must have an insurance policy from the company, the details should be there. If you have lost it then you are in trouble. Unless you got your insurance through an agent, they should have the details of your previous insurer. The only way to prove your no-claims is from your last insurer so you will have to do your best to find out who they are. Otherwise you will have to try one of those who offer an immediate no-claims bonus when you insure with them and get the best deal you can. |

You can also try the DMV as they have been pairing registration with insurance company for the last 10 yrs or more. Give them a call and see if they can help you. Hopefully, you've lived in the same state for a few years. |

as far as I know, you don't need to know. if you have claimed anywhere there would be a record of. also after they insure you and you have an accident, they will find out about previous claim which would mean you lied then ur insurance is void.
