Hi everyone
In general, can auto insurance be split:
Let's say, I buy an 08 car and I want to have full coverage. However I also have a 1993 honda and a 92 mazda, can I have these older cars, have a lower coverage, say... liabily + uninsured motors coverage?
I never try to purchase multiple plans. Is there a better way to do this?
I'm sure it depends on the insurance company offers but any tips/ideas for saving money would greatly be appreciated.
I will try to get all my discounts applied, I'm just worried abuot how I can pay...

You do not need to buy multiple plans. You can have all 3 vehicles on one policy, just put full coverage on the newer vehicle and liability on the other 2. As far as uninsured it depends on what state you live in and if they require it. I know in the state of Texas if you have insured on one vehicle on the policy then it most be on all the vehicles. It will actual come out cheaper this way because you should get a multi-car discount. |

you can have lower coverage on the other cars
i am not sure you can change uninsured motors coverage, but you have your choice of liability.
the minimum amount is whatever your state requries.
when you are talking to the person, you can keep asking "what else can i do to lower my costs" and they really will work with you. |

Each vehicle must be insured separately so yes, you can tailor each policy to the vehicle you want to insure. There should be a multi car discount if you use the same company to insure each vehicle |
