You can purchase a car and motor insurance with only a provision licence, but of course, as you will probably know, you will only be allowed to drive the vehicle whilst accompanied by drivers aged at least 21 who has held a full driving licence for three years or more. |

If you're in England, yes to both questions. It's not expensive necessarily. I did it in order to practise my driving skills prior to taking a test. Get an old car (I guarantee you'll scratch it!) and ask all of your friends which insurers they use. Then 'phone around and get some quotes. Easy as that. Good luck to you! x |

Yes, you can buy a car (as long as you pay cash since it is obvious you are under 18). As stated, you are still required to follow the rules of your license. The insurance for you will be really high. Further ahead to get on your parents policy. |
