Then when you go to court for the ticket, show the proof to the judge that you were insured the day you got cited, and it should be dropped. |

depending on local law. I'd say in the UK you'd be done for driving without insurance cause your not personally named for that car's insurance, but as i said local law would dictate the outcome |

depends, if you get in a wreck and you are not on the insurance then the insurance will not cover the damage. If you get pulled over for speeding or something though all the cop wants to see is that the car has insurance that is paid for. |

Even if the vehicle has valid insurance, you can be cited for "failure to produce proof of financial responsibility upon demand" if you don't have your insurance card with you. Some judges will let you off if you bring proof to court that it was in force prior to the citation being issued. |

Not as long as you have the ID card in the car. If the car isn't registered to you then no skin off your back. My father owned my car while I finshed paying it off. SOOO the insurance was in his name, I was listed on the policy but not on the card. I got pulled over and couldn't find the card. I just took the card down to the courthouse a few days later and it was dismissed. |

it depends. if you're not on the insurance, whether the car is insured or not, you may possibly get a ticket. in most cases this happens when an accident occurs, i'm not sure if it applies for like a speeding ticket. |
