You most definitely need to inform your insurance that you are going to be a licensed driver.

Yes, but you do not need it.
Since you must ride with a licensed and insured driver, his coverage covers you and the car. |

i dont think so but call an agent and ask....i would assume that if you can own a vehicle using a learners permit as id then you could obtain ins also |

not sure, but you don't need it. You are automatically covered under your parent/guardians till you get your lisence. |

No you cannot - a driver cannot be added to a policy without a drivers license. If you curious as to whether or not you can say drive your parents vehicle without being on the policy - the answer is yes. You would still be covered under their policy. |

no ,and you dont need it, your parents just let your company know you have your permit and you are a driver in their household so you are covered. |
