Hi, If i go to view a bike and decide to buy it can i ring up an insurance company and get covered there and then so i can ride it home?

You can insure pretty much anything. Talk to an insurance broker - as they will be extremely happy to take your money. |

i assume its a motor bike. if its taxed and has an mot and you insurance company tell you it is insured and are forwarding an insurance certificate you can ride it home, just don't forget your lid |

Yes you can. But get some quotes before you go so you know which company is the cheapest. Try using an insurance comparison site* to give you an idea of the cheapest one, then if you decide to buy the bike call the insurance company and pay for the insurance.
