Unbelievable. You say you only have about $500, but you want to move to California, one of the MOST expensive places in the United States to live.

"NO", you can not live in your car. Most communities in California have ordinances prohibiting people from living in cars. You would almost certainly be constantly hustled by the police. Citizens here don't want people living in cars in their neighborhood lowering their property values. And with unemployment in California in double digit numbers you won't find work here of any kind. Jobs are nearly nonexistent. You need to go to Plan "B". This one won't work.

With that amount you should try to find work and Government shelter and food stamps until you get on your feet.
