No you can not. If your trying to register the car in your name then the Insurance card MUST have your name and correct address on It's face. The Insurance cards are now, actually since 2001, bar coded and whatever is on it's face is in the bar code. This prevents fraud. The only people that have this specific bar code reader (For Insurance cards) is the DMV. So,as a matter of course when you register or attempt to they scan the info into the screen with your info. If It is different, could be a legal problem So, yes we have to have everything that matches. 1) the MV82 application. 2) your drivers license & 3) your FS 20 or 21-All must match in name. |
