I want a car plate for two states depending on where I am at in the year. 1/2 year i want to use my one id for that state, the other half the year i want to use my other id when i am in the other state. As well as car plates.

Your car must be registered to your residence on record.
Of which, you can only have one.
And therefore you can only have one active plate at one time.
If you are claiming residency in two different states, yes..that's illegal. |

i dont know about idaho but in wy if you work in the state you must have the vehicle tagged here there is alot of out of state labor that lives in montana south dakota etc that works here during the week that display their home state and this state not only is it legal its required |

There is so much false information on the internet it's not funny. Laws very from state to state, but most states will require you to register your car there if the car is in that state for a specific number of days a year. Residency has nothing to do with it. Yes, you can legally register a car in more than one state at the same time. In fact, you are often required by law to do just that. This probably requires having more than one insurance policy on the same car at the same time too. |
