Can i walk into the dmv to take my permit test without an appointment(California)?!...

I haven't made an appointment, and the next available one is in a while, but i'd really like to go get it over with, since ive already procrastinated enough. =[ Could i just walk in and wait? Or what would be a good time to go when its not so busy?
please help =]

Yes you can. When you go in, go to the front desk and tell them you are there to take the written test. Make sure you bring the proper identification, funds,etc...
Try to go during school (if your parents are okay with this). It is really crowded after school hours, and I definitely do not suggest going then. |

Yeah, you can just walk in, but be prepared to wait a very long time (depending on the DMV). Unless you live in a small town somewhere, I wouldn't do it. |

yes, they have no-shows and cancellations. you could wait all day, or only a few minutes. make sure you check in with reception and make sure they know you are a stand-by. Good luck! |
