Does she have to have her own insurance? Or do i have to put her on mine? Or dose she not need it.

Yes she will need insurance - you could add her to your policy as a named driver, but it will cost as she is a learner. |

To be able to drive the car with a provisional driving licence she needs to be in the car with someone else who is 21 plus having had their driving licence for 2 years minimum. |

You will have to add her to your insurance as a learner and you will need to accompany her, to do so you must have held a full licence for that category for at least three years (and be over 21, which I assume you must be if you have a driving age daughter. lol) |

She can't drive it on her own until she has a full license even if you put her on your insurance and out L plates on the car. She doesn't have to buy her own insurance though, you just need to put her on yours! |

You have to put her on your insurance if the company will allow her to be included. She cannot be driving the car alone on a provisional licence. |

You need to add her as a named driver to your insurance as long as you remain the Main Driver.
If she is to become the Main Driver then the Policy must be in her name.
If you decide to add her to yours you may want to think about changing to an insurance company that allows her to build up her No Claims Bonus whilst on your policy. Otherwise when she starts her own insurance she will start with 0 NCB.
