Hi, I'm saving up to buy myself my first car, but I'm wondering about the license plate. I'm planning to buy the following:

but can I engrave the registered number (ex. FIT-2968) or does it require the plate having to say the state? If so, the plate I'm planning buy is just a decorated front plate?

In all states that I know of, you'll have to use the officially issued plate. You can get some "vanity" numbers, but on their plate. You can use a plate like you mention on the front if your state doesn't require an official front plate (like Michigan). |
