yes and hed be in deep trouble. be aware that even on private land, such as a supermarket carpark, he may be convicted if there is direct access to the public road.

He will have to take you to private land, such as car parks on an industrial estate in the evenings and weekends. This is how my father taught me in the early days, and then when I had my provisional licence, he had me put onto his insurance and continued teaching me to drive.
I had some lessons with a driving school, and then spent almost 18 months doing virtually all the driving for the family, over 27,000 miles as a learner, in all conditions, in three different cars, all weathers, holiday drives of over 200 miles each way, daily commutes, etc.
25 years on, I have a clean licence and have never had an accident. Start early, but don't rush to get that licence. Let it come to you, when you have earned it. |

You cannot drive anyway without a license, so if you got caught you would be banned before you are even allowed on the road, a bit silly really. So don't do it.
The only way you can drive at your age is to learn on private property, or go on a young learners course. |

Not in UK unless on private land with the permission of the owner |

You need to get your learner's permit FIRST to practice legally. For that, you will have to wait until you're 15 at the minimum. Why the rush? You have a few years to go before you can legally drive. Just wait and do it the way you're supposed to.
Why risk your dad's license over your own selfishness?

Yes he may tot up enough points doing that to lose his licence for a while - I hope he will come to his senses and not do it or you will be sensible enough to see the danger and not allow it to happen.
If caught you would also be prosecuted. |

Hello
If he is sensible and does it on private property he will be OK.
If he tries it on the Public Highway just tell him it is not worth the risk as he could lose his licence if caught. Apart from that you would also get points on your licence before you even get it and the fines. And the points would run from when you got your licence. Min 4 years.

Many states allow a provisional license if you live in the country and need to drive to school at age 14. You probably don't fit in that category though. Is your whole family dangerous risk takers? This is the second question you have posted which is talking about breaking the law or should I rather say "bending" the law to suit your desires? |

If your dad is caught it is a major violation which is 2 points in CA.
Each state is different. Better check with the DMV in your state or your local police department. |

On private property............Anyone can drive without a license .
On the government road...........he could get taken to jail for child endangerment |

If its on private land you should get away with it. Supermarket car parks are a bit dodgy but if its your own land or an individuals you should get away with it. Depends where you live as well if your American then the driving age in some states is 14. The definition of private land is probably different in different countries. If you can find some isolated private land then it doesn't matter if its legal or not cause what police would ever be out there? If your on the roads then unless you do live in one of the low age states then you'd better hope you never get caught. |
