I have a friend who has been in a very bad financial place, so I've been lending him money./ Unfortunately, money is tight for me now as well just as it is with majority of the country.
He has no money for his car note, and I still need to pay my own bills and can't lend any to him. He has moved from the original address where his car was once repo'ed and lives with his friend. He's afraid that his car will be taken from him from his new address or his place of work, is this possible?

They can take his car from anywhere.
He could walk into the grocery store.....if the repo man finds the car in grocery store parking lot....they'll take it while he's inside. |

Yes they can. Anywhere they can get get to the car to tow it, they can repossess it. |

If they can find the car, they'll repossess it. If they know where he's employed at, that's probably where they'll look first. If he switches jobs and doesn't make any credit card purchases that'll show his new address as his billing address, then maybe they won't find his car.
If he goes to a store and parks his car in the parking lot; and then when he comes out of the store and sees his car gone, then that's why. They would repossess a car from a parking lot if they got a tip that that's where it is. I guess they follow people (that won't turn the car over) from their home and after they park it somewhere, they tow it. |

Unfortunately, Banks and other Financial Institutions have vast resources where they can be able to locate and find your friend and where the car is located. Yes, they can repossess it anytime and any place because of the default in payment. |
