say I wanted to get this car selling locally that is a 1987 Chevrolet monte carlo (rare) and I can afford it for $900 and Im getting my g1 in 3 months can I pay for the car and put it in my dads name and insurance? Im taking automotive courses in high school and have learned quite alot and my cousin is good with cars (he has an 81 camaro himself) I plan to restore it with him all it needs is paint, matching wheels and some interior parts and a little bit of engine work. The engine is clean and runs with a 305. and only has 170k km on it. I need to buy it soon before its gone.
say I dont get the car in time can I do this to any car? i.e put a car in my dads name.

You don't need a license to buy a car, only money. Of course you can't drive it, but if you put it in dad's name and on his insurance, he can.
But it isn't rare, unless of course it's the SS. |
