im 19 have car but no license can i drive in texas without a license my freind drove with out one he had a permit im in texas what will happen if i get caught do i get a ticket or what

Legally in the United States you must have a learners permit or valid drivers license to operate a vehicle. This is true any every state no matter what anyone tells you, If you have your license suspended or revoked in one state it is not valid in any other state. Yes you will get a ticket if you operate a vehicle without a license and it could cause delays when you go to apply for a valid one. With the learners permit you are to be accompanied by an adult with a valid drivers license while driving. There are acceptations to these, like hardship licenses and such. Just go to the DMV and get a liscense and then you dont have to worry about it. |

you go to jail, and then get a nice court date and a nice fine. enjoy
also if you have an accident and you have no insurance thats also another court date, and good chances the guy you hit or hit you will sue you..

Expect a stiff fine and a suspension of driving privileges. Since you don't have any driving privileges now, expect not to get them for several years. Repeat infractions could mean jail time.
No license almost surely means no insurance, too; do you want to risk a lawsuit for damages? |

You are not supposed to be driving without a license. In some states your car can be impounded, in addition to various tickets and fines. Some states can even whisk you off to jail.
Driving on a learner's permit generally means that you have a licensed driver in the car with you. The whole idea behind this is that they are teaching you to drive. It doesn't matter if you think you know how to drive, a licensed driver needs to be in the vehicle with you.
Play it by the rules, get your permit, and have a licensed driver with you until you take and pass your road and written test for your license. Driving is a privilege, not a right. |

That is very sticky situation. Not sure what the laws there in Texas but here in Kentucky if you are caught without a license you probably get a ticket... then go to court then more then likely 6 months of a suspended license. But either way i would be safe and look on the internet and see what the Texas laws are, or talk to your parents or someone you trust. |
