i have a friend who claims that this is how she lost her license, i found it hard to believe. wouldn't just the felon get in trouble? what if you didn't know the person was a felon? i tried google and couldn't find anything, so anything would help.... thanks!

as long as he has a valid driver's license, it doesn't matter if he is a felon or not! if he don't and you let him drive, then you could be charged with allowing another to drive without a license. |

No. You don't lose your license unless YOU commit an illegal act with your car. Letting a felon drive your car, even if you know that they are a felon will not lead to you losing your license.
It may lead to you being charged with aiding and abetting, though. |

No. Your friend is a liar, she must be ashamed of how she really lost it. There is more to the story, no doubt.
I work for a lawyer, we do our share of criminal defense, she is BS'ing you.
**EDIT: each state has its own laws, so my answer might be wrong in some states, but I have never heard of such a thing. I'd be willing to bet there is more, like the felon doing something else unlawful, and her having knowledge of it and allowing it. Something! |

i don't know but i wouldn't let it happen either way whether you could or couldn't loose ur license. it is the owner of the cars resonsibility to let someone drive your car. you need to know if they have a license in the first place. |

Being a felon has nothing to do with your ability to get a drivers license. Letting a felon drive your car has nothing to do with your license. |

I don't think the actual act of letting a felon drive your car would cause you to lose your license. However, just being stupid enough to let a felon drive your car should be cause enough to lose it. |

If he had a wreck I could see where you might be held responsible for letting him drive but I don't see what your drivers license would have to do with it. |

you wouldnt get arrested unless 1. they were doign soemthing bad and you knew aboiut it 2. they brooke a law and took your car for a get away car anythign else you wouldnt though
