A drivers license is not required to own a car but a drivers license and insurance is required before you can legally drive a car. If you own a car and no drivers license, then if you have proper insurance coverage, then someone else with a valid drivers license can drive your car for you. |

In the extreme:
If I bought & sold cars for a living (dealership) would I need a driving licence of my own? No...I would not be allowed to DRIVE them - just own them.
I bought my first car before I had a (full) UK licence and had it driven home for me - it was mine, insured by me, taxed by me...just not driven by me. |
