Can you take the "5 hour" right after you get your permit?

Or do you need to have driven for some time? I just got my permit about 5 days ago, and I want to know if I can take the 5 hour course tomorrow. I am from NY state, if that matters. And if nobody knows what a 5 hour is then they might just have them in NY.

I learned how to drive in NY state. When I got my permit there were no time restrictions on when you could take your 5 hour course. Go sign up and they will let you know if you need to wait. I think I had my license in about two months.
