I just turned 16 and got my license about 2 months ago. My dad and I are now car shopping for me and I found a car that I really liked, but don't know if it would be expensive insurance or not. If you could help and give me an idea of about how much it will be a month?

I also live in Ohio and my dad has state farm.

You have started the right way by asking questions, However you are asking the wrong people.
You need to phone the insurance company and ask them for a quote over the phone.
this next bit has nothing to do with your question, 3.2 litre is way too much power for a 16 year old. Take this advice from a grumpy old know-it-all. Every young fella that buys a first car smashes it up a few times,buy one that is 2.0 or less. OK you will not look so cool to your mates but you will live long enough for you parents to celebrate your achievements.

get the car you like, people are more careful when its something they love. but you just have to call around and get quotes, safe auto is cheap and there very good call them first |

call his agent, who ought to be happy to take the time to explain insurance to you, if he wants to sell you a policy when you turn 18. you can go online, too, but the quote may not be as accurate. you need-your age, driving record, where you live, who will have access to or drive the car (anytime, not just everyday)how far you will drive it and if you will use it to get to school, work, the beach, etc. and of course, what kind of car and what kind of coverage you want/need is the final question. |

i had same problem when i was buying a car i really liked, always get an insurance quote before u get the car otherwise u may have a problem later on, and if u do buy the car make sure its insured BEFORE u drive it, i just never know! |

For automobile insurance the obvious way to get a very good rate is do a rate comparison on auto policies. Make sure that you pick similar options with the same limits, auto model, location, etc so that all options are a good comparison.
What I always recommend is an online comparison quote at http://www.lowratetoday.com since they have lots of insurers and will give many quotes on car insurance polices. |
