I got into a car accident. My insurance company found me not guilty. Now I get a letter from their lawyer suing me . Can they sue me or they have to go to my insuarance agency ?

Send the letter to your insurance company. They will "duke it out" with the other driver's insurance company. You won't have to do anything but answer questions about the accident.
This happened to me a few years ago. The man that was at fault LIED ... he was an old man & just LIED about a lot of things. God knows the truth, so don't lose any sleep over it. Trust Me! Your insurance company will fight it all the way & they WILL WIN!!!!! |

Anyone can sue you for any reason. Turn it over to your insurance company. It's what you pay them for. |

In this country, anyone can sue anyone. But since you have insurance, your insurance company is obligated to defend your case up to the coverage limits of the policy. You should contact your insurance agent ASAP and give them a copy of the letter so that their claims adjuster can start working on your case.
If you only purchased the state required minimum coverage and the damages exceed your limits, the claimant can come after you for anything additional. It will be up to a judge to determine if you are at fault or not. |
