Car accident help?

Hi, I was backing out of my drive way and I backed into my sister's boyfriend's car, denting his driver side door, there was no damage done to my car. I realize it is totally my fault, and have no problem paying my deductible, and have talked to my insurance company, and they kept saying that I had hit my neighbor's car, which isn't true. I was trying to figure out why they kept saying that and then I remembered that he had his license revoked last month. I think that his family lied and said his car was parked outside his driveway and their "neighbor" had hit it. Also another time I talked to the company I kept saying I had hit his car, and they said He? Not She? Is the family trying to save his butt because his license is revoked? Can something different be done if this is true about him not having his license? I realize it is all my fault, but should I be mad they are trying to cover up a suspended license?

Since the car was parked, the license status of anyone is not in question. Tell them no, you hit your sister's boyfriends car, and give them the information on the car you hit.

This is pretty darn serious, and need to be handle or discussed with someone who can advise you, or direct you to the right people to handle this twisted triangle and deception. Good Luck!!

You need to have a talk with your sister about the fact that they do not need to lie about it because it may have been his car you hit but that does not mean he was the one driving it at the time it was hit. It could have been parked at the time for all the insurance company knows. So they can simply state that someone misunderstood their report of the incident that it was his car that was hit but he was not driving it at the time or it was parked and that you are fully at fault. And when telling a lie, you always get found out at some point. That may help. Take care and good luck.

I hope you don't have Geico. They will screw you. Just tell them the facts. You know it is your fault and you are saying that you are to blame, yet, he isn't even supposed to be on the road if he has a suspended license. So it that respect, you are both at fault. I really don't know. If it didn't do any damage to your car, I wouldn't even worry about it. He can get in a huge amount of trouble just having his car out. I would say, just cause he is your sis's b-friend doesn't mean that your insurance needs to fix his car since his license is revolked. Let him make the claim. I bet he doesn't. Don't worry about it. You did your part. If he want's to, let him take the case to court. Bet he doesn't.
