ive been driving 2 years, no tickets, no accidents....so tonight i got in an accident, rear ended a car....my fault,,,how much will my insurance go up? i have Allstate.

Contact Allstate to find out if you have "Accident Forgiveness". If you've never had a violation OR a claim, you might not get a surcharge for the accident. However, if you were to get into another at fault accident, you would now be surcharged for the new accident and possibly the old one for at least 3 years depending on how long Allstate surcharges you.
Also, are you in a position to just pay for the damages to the other persons car without having to file a claim at all? Then your insurance shouldn't be affected unless you got a ticket from the police as well.

Bottom line is they'll charge you what they want to. I guess we'll see if that allstate "accident forgiveness" is real. |
