Car accident, whos fault?

I went with my mate to pick up his merc e190 cosworth and the guy warned him 2 or 3 times about the reverse gear being where 1st usually is, So hes like "yeahhh fine i get, ill be fine"

And he was, we went back to where he lived when he strted showing off, started revving it high at some lights and had music very loud, another boy racer wannabe pulled up beside us and started revving, lol. So, my mate, obviously being stupid, when the lights went green he slammed it first, and floored it,

well he went right into this car full of big black guys behind us lol and they werent very pleased, got out if it ok though, but he refuses to take blame for it, when i think of course it was/

What would the insurance company say?

He was to blame. He will have to pay for all the damage. He could also be prosecuted for dangerous driving. (Or driving under the influence of drink, drugs or stupidity - and since they were black guys in the car he hit, racially aggravated stupidity)

The insurance company will be very clear with him that he is at fault. If you think of it this way, was the car behind him at fault for anything? No, they were stopped at a red light, when your friend backed into them. It's his responsibility to know how to drive a car regardless of the year, make, model, etc. If a young driver just learning how to drive a vehicle hits the gas instead of the brake and strikes a vehicle in front of them, they can't claim that they were just young and inexperienced as a legitimate defense. Neither can your friend claim no fault. Good luck.

He can refuse all he wants as far as blame goes, and it won't change that he is to blame. He is lucky he didn't get a ticket for display of speed.

The insurance company will pay for the damage he did, and when renewal time comes they may raise his rates or drop him completely.

The car full of black guys have nothing to do with the accident, LOL. The driver is all ways at fault, he or she should know and be able to handle the car they are driving. Your mate should not have been playing around. Your mate is the at fault for the accident. The insurance co. will make the owner of this car pay for both cars.

the e190 record in what gear, speed and steering wheel direction when on an accident the insurance can retrieve this info so go ahead lie and if your lucky you may only get arrested for insurance fraud.

Well your freind was at fault and if the insurance company find out about the gears and fact that your friend knew about it your in deep trouble ... T he insurance will now send out a loss adjuster he or she is there to help the insurance company get out of paying ... Sorry your freind will now think twice about driving and be thankful no one got hurt
